"Dear Rea...". Is a song I made inspired by my love for my daughter. Technically this was the first single for the EP 'cause I dropped it on Soundcloud on her 5th birthday. It is the only joint on the EP where I rap. I composed the beat in March 2016 and in terms of the lyrics, all I had was the last line "...I'm a man of few words, so I'll just let the keys speak." I sat for about six months with no idea how to start the song. One evening, after a telephonic conversation with her I wrote and recorded the first draft (the same conversation you hear in the song). It took me hours to record the only verse in the song (I am just a beatmaker - haha). I played the piano solo myself and had no idea what I was doing. The arrangement is unusual 'cause it's basically 80% instrumental and 20% vocals. I was sceptical about this and even contemplated writing more verses or even a hook but decided to leave it as it is 'cause I realized that the closing line of my verse pretty much explains what I'm about. I am a beatmaker/producer expressing his love for his child the best way he knows how to. I hold this song very close to my heart and love it almost as much as I love the person who inspired it.
