"Time" features Loux Artiste, Cbuu Clouds, Theo Songstress & Soweto Tshepiso. I made the beat for this joint in late 2010 and it was originally meant for W.A.R Bandit. The joint is intended to be an unofficial sequel to the joint I did on The Insane Maestro called "Think Fast" (with Inco The Locks Myth, W.A.R Bandit and Ceaz), a more "chilled" version if you will. Theo recorded her part in, literally, one take the same day she did the hook for #SundayOnAFriday. It was one of the beats I sent her back in January of 2016 when I was SUPER READY to work on my project. After first hearing Soweto Tshepiso on a track called "Sacrifice" by Infektist (from his 2016 mixtape "1108"), I KNEW I had to have him on this joint. He wrote and recorded his verse the day we met (same day he recorded the hook for one of the other joints on the EP called "Problem Child"). This song was the first joint I worked on with Loux Artist even though we had been working in the same place for 3 years prior and I was fully aware of his abilities with the pen. Similar story with Cbuu Clouds. He'd been living just up the road from our house for the longest time but I only found out last year that he rapped (and WELL too!) after coming across his music video (that he shot and edited himself) on YouTube for a song he did. I was immediately impressed and felt his energy was perfect for the song I had in mind. It's an extremely beautiful song and it was an absolute honour to have worked with these amazingly talented individuals.
