about

Party Ya Mapantsula" features Noks Matchbox, Sfilikwane, Mthizo and Jef. I made the beat in 2012 and it was originally meant for Mthizo's mixtape which (to my knowledge) was never release called "Break In". The original version had Mthizo featuring MaseVen, Siya Shezi, Noks Matchbox and, if I'm not mistaken, Chaka Dolla. Due to Mthizo's tape not being released (not exactly sure of the exact details) the song's seperates ended up dissappearing or something - haha. If you have both Mthizo and I as Facebook friends then you know that for the past few years I've been randomly posting "Party Ya Mapantsula" on Mthizo's timeline. Bugging him about that song. When I finally decided to work on a project in early 2016, I made it a mission of mine to revive that joint. I hit up Mthizo and asked if we could remake that joint for my project with Iziphakami and he agreed. Mthizo, Noks and Sfili all recorded their verses on the same day we shot #SotraCyphers part 2. Noks' verse is the exact same verse that he had on the original version of the song and all these years later it's still amazing I then approached Jef to do the hook and he eventually came through and murdered it! I'm serious. Jef gave us one of the best Kasi Rap hooks of all time!
